Andrew Young ’s tell-all book about former presidential candidate John Edwards is coming to the big screen, with “The West Wing” creator Aaron Sorkin at the helm. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Sorkin will also write the screenplay adaptation of The Politician: An Insider’s Account of John Edwards’s Pursuit of the Presidency and the Scandal That Brought Him Down , which chronicles the former presidential candidate’s 2008 political campaign and subsequent scandal involving mistress Rielle Hunter and their secret child together. “This is a first-hand account of an extraordinary story filled with motivations, decisions and consequences that would have lit Shakespeare up,” says Sorkin.
